You've probably seen this before: you upload a photo to a 'free' editor, wait, and get a preview. But when you hit download, you're asked to pay for HD, or you get a massive watermark stamped over your image. PngBG doesn't do this. We don't add watermarks, and we don't charge.
Why cloud tools charge for HD
Most background tools send your images to cloud servers. Cloud GPUs are expensive. These companies pay a few cents every time you upload an image. To make that money back, they give you a low-resolution preview to prove the tech works, then lock the usable file behind a subscription.
Why we don't have to charge
We don't send your images to a server. Instead, we send the AI model to your browser. Your own device processes the image using WebAssembly and WebGL. Since we aren't paying hourly server bills to process your photos, we don't need to charge you for the output.
Full resolution output
We don't downgrade your resolution. If you upload a 4K product photo, you get a 4K transparent PNG back. You get full access to the same AI models (like BiRefNet) whether you're editing one meme or 500 catalog photos.
Conclusion
You can use the tool right now without creating an account or paying a subscription.
